This Privacy Policy describes how Sellah collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Who we are

Sellah operates a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers of local brands, primarily in Egypt. This policy applies to visitors of our marketing site and to users of the Sellah apps and accounts.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Sellah, we may collect:

  • Account & profile: name, email address, mobile number, password or authentication tokens, profile photo, and role (buyer or seller).
  • Store & commerce: shop name, branding, product listings, prices, inventory, photos, order history, shipping addresses, and messages needed to complete orders.
  • Payments & transactions: transaction references, payment status, and limited billing-related information processed by payment partners—we do not store full card numbers on our servers when partners tokenize cards.
  • Device & technical: device type, OS version, app version, IP address, language, diagnostics, crash logs, and similar data used to secure and improve the Services.
  • Usage & support: in-app activity you generate, customer support conversations, and feedback you submit.
  • Sign-in partners: if you use Sign in with Apple, Google, or similar, we receive identifiers and profile details allowed by that provider.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide and improve the marketplace, accounts, listings, checkout, and order tracking.
  • Process payments, prevent fraud and abuse, verify sellers, and enforce our Terms.
  • Send service messages, security alerts, and (where allowed) product updates—you can control marketing preferences in the app where applicable.
  • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect our users and business.

How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Other users as needed for the marketplace—for example, buyers and sellers see order details required to fulfil an order.
  • Service providers that host infrastructure, send email or push notifications, process payments, prevent fraud, or provide analytics—bound by contracts and only instructed for limited purposes.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • A successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to reasonable safeguards.

Retention

We keep information as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements. Some data may remain in backups for a limited period. When deletion is not technically immediate, we aim to restrict use meanwhile.
